独立映像艺术空间由艺术家傅文俊于2008年创立，初期位于重庆市九龙坡区黄桷坪501艺术基地，这里毗邻四川美术学院，是重庆艺术生长最重要的区域；2023年搬迁至重庆金山意库文化创意产业园。
独立映像一直密切关注当代中国艺术的发展，努力以立足中国、面向世界的开放态度和独到的艺术视野，参与建构当代中国艺术的发展实践，提升当代艺术的社会认知度。
成立以来，独立映像为众多国内外艺术家举办个展、群展和国际间文化艺术交流活动，展示影像、绘画、雕塑、装置、新媒体等多种艺术作品，并开展与之对应的讲座、研讨会等艺术学术活动，以及面向大众的艺术沙龙主题活动。
Independent & Image Art Space was founded by artist Fu Wenjun in 2008. Originally located in 501 Art Base, next to Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, one of China’s top art universities, we moved in 2023 to Jinshan Yiku Cultural and Creative Industrial Park in Chongqing.
Independent & Image Art Space has been paying close attention to the development of Chinese and international contemporary art. With an open attitude towards the global art scene and a unique art vision, we actively engage in the evolution of Chinese contemporary art, striving to enhance society’s understanding of contemporary art forms.
Over the years, we have held numerous solo and group exhibitions for our artists as well as international cultural exchange events, displaying the artworks of photography, painting, sculpture, installation, new media art, etc. Alongside these exhibitions, we also host thematic lectures, seminars, and workshops.
