苏州湾博物馆位于苏州湾文化中心南区，是具有吴江特质和江南韵味的地方综合性博物馆。整体建筑由建筑领域的国际最高奖项“普利兹克奖”得主、法国著名建筑师包赞巴克设计。
苏州湾博物馆展陈面积 5700 平方米，一层设两个特展厅，用于举办国内外精品展；四层为常设展览：吴韵江南——吴江历史文化陈列。公共空间配有教育活动室、公共阅览室、学术报告厅以及文博商店等多功能区。
苏州湾博物馆以收集保护、传承发展、活化利用吴江历史文化遗产为使命，集陈列展示、文化体验、公共教育、科学研究、交流合作功能于一体，打造连接吴江时间、空间与情感的市民文化新空间。

The new Wujiang museum is a landmark building of Taihu new town. It is one of the single buildings of “Suzhou Bay cultural center” designed by French bauzan Barker design firm. The building area is about 26000 square meters (divided into one underground floor and six above ground floors). It has six exhibition halls, with an exhibition area of about 5700 square meters and a collection warehouse area of more than 2000 square meters. The functional area is mainly composed of exhibition area, storage area, public area (including audience service area, leisure area and interactive experience area), education and guidance area, administrative office area, safety monitoring center and fire control center.
