Wenzhou is a city renowned for its high fluidity of population. Located in the heart of Wenzhou city, the Hong Museum stands as a beacon of artistic and social exploration. Its overarching goal is to rejuvenate and reinstate the interplay among art, social science, and the public by presenting and studying contemporary culture and art. We firmly believe that an art museum wields an essential influence in shaping society. 创始人 / Founder

馆长潘宏政，英国剑桥大学东亚研究硕士、伦敦政治经济学院社会学硕士。“看见最初500米”工作坊参与者。

Hongzheng Pan is the founder and director ofHong Museum. He holds a M.Phil. in East Asian Studies from the University ofCambridge and a M.Sc. in Sociology from the London School of Economics. He is also a participant in the “Seeing the First 500 Meters” MappingWorkshop.

建筑 / Architecture

弘美术馆改造于由建筑大师约翰.波特曼设计的置信中心里的一整层空间。与许多美术馆的“白盒子”不同，弘美术馆由有机连续的弧线展墙分为内外两个部分。完整的内部主展厅呈U型，由人工照明控制。外部的三个侧展厅有着自然光的氛围，并拥抱周边城市景观。展厅最大程度暴露原始结构，使得展厅空间高度最大化的同时呈现原始结构的存在。弧线随着功能布置产生的凹凸变化自然形成了入口，主展厅及通向纪念品区的出口。展墙的弧度自然地引导人们在U型主展厅中观展，弧墙也同时包裹了办公室，艺术教育室和纪念品及咖啡厅，将艺术展厅与社交空间融合。

Hong Museum is located in a 255-meter high tower, designed by John Portman, where the Westin Hotel sits atop with Portman’s classical internal soaring atrium with strong verticality. The design aims to create a status with porosity among the accurately and economically planned commercial urban interior space and allowing art and sociology topics to enter the public sphere. The natural curvature of the gallery walls guides visitors. The walls continue to envelop spaces outside the exhibition area, such as offices, the seminar, and a café. The space creates connection to the city: one can glance at the iconic Xun-shan Tower of Wenzhou from the seminar, and can overlook the entire Bai Lu Zhou Park from the café seating area.

建筑师 / Architect

谢杰是谢杰建筑事务所（x.j.a）的创始人。该事务所创立于2020年，在中国和澳大利亚都设有办事处。谢杰曾在同济大学CAPU和哈佛大学GSD学习建筑学，并自2019年起成为澳大利亚的注册建筑师。谢杰曾设计并开发了包括在亚太地区和北美地区的文化、住宅及公共类建筑项目。除了他的全球实践，他还在哈佛大学、雪城大学、新南威尔士大学和同济大学担任设计评图老师和客座讲师。

Xie Jie is the founder of Xie Jie Architects (x.j.a) with offices in both China and Australia since 2020. He studied architecture at Tongji University CAPU and at Harvard University GSD, and is a Registered Architect in Australia since 2019. Xie Jie has designed and developed cultural, residential and public architecture projects across Asia Pacific and in North America regions. Besides his global practices, his academic activities include design critics andguest lecturer for Harvard University, Syracuse University, University of New South Wales, and Tongji University.
