香港艺术中心 Hong Kong Arts Centre

自1977年成立以来，香港艺术中心一直透过举办不同形式的艺术活动及艺术教育，在积极培育艺术家的同时，努力将艺术引进大众的生活。中心相信艺术能够改变生命，在过往四十多年来，透过不同形式的艺术活动如视觉艺术、表演艺术、影像与媒体艺术、动漫、公共艺术、艺术教育、讲座论坛、艺术节及社区艺术项目，把创意艺术与大众联系起来，以激发本地和国际艺坛创意为使命。中心致力于五大艺术发展范畴的工作，包括国际艺赏、艺在社区、多元艺声、培育艺能和创艺生活。

1998年，香港艺术中心与澳洲皇家墨尔本理工大学合作，推出了首个艺术文学士课程。在这合作基础上，香港艺术中心在2000年成立了香港艺术学院。时至今日，学院一直通过专业的学历颁授课程培育艺坛新血，并为公众举办短期课程。

香港艺术中心积极将艺术引进生活，让大众不单单可以作为艺术节目的观众、更可以成为艺术家、甚或艺术赞助者，让生活与艺术紧扣。让我们一同拥抱「艺术就是热诚．艺术就是生活．艺术就是普及」的信念，努力前行。

使命

香港艺术中心主要透过以下两方面的工作，致力培育市民大众的创意和欣赏艺术文化的能力︰

透过艺术交流和社区活动，推广当代视觉艺术、电影录像、公共艺术、表演艺术和社会活化计划
提供多元化、终身和全方位的文化艺术教育课，其中包括美术、媒体艺术、戏剧及赛马会「传．创」非物质遗产等教育计划，并提供学术晋升的阶梯。

导赏员计划及导赏服务 / Docent Programme and Guided Tour Service

「导赏员」（Docent）一字源自于拉丁文「Docere」，有「教授」（to teach）之意。艺术中心导赏员计划广招艺文爱好者成为艺术推广大使，致力将香港艺术中心与各界公众连系起来，培养及发挥团队的义务精神，服务社群。

导赏员完成培训后，便可正式向公众提供导赏服务，为不同人士包括本地及国际学生，社区团体，海外艺术爱好者，少数族裔人士及伤健人士等，提供多个富趣味的互动导赏服务及艺术学习体验活动。香港艺术中心特设主题式导赏服务，针对公共艺术创作，香港艺术中心建筑特色与日常小故事，当代艺术展览及艺术教育活动四大方向，与参加者一同经历富启发性的艺术之旅。

导赏服务至今已为超过三万位海外及本地人士服务，随着节目观众层不断扩大，大众对于艺术中心和本地艺术生态团亦有更深入了解。

“Docent” is a word derived from the Latin word “Docere” which means “to teach”. The Docent Programme is a unique programme inviting art lovers to be our ambassadors in connecting the Hong Kong Arts Centre with the general public, nurturing the team spirit of volunteerism and services in the community’s art scene.

The professionally trained docents provide delightful interactive tours and art learning activities to audiences ranging from local and international students, community centre groups and overseas art lovers to ethnic minority groups and physical-challenged visitors. The Thematic Guided Tour Services focuses on four themed directions featuring public art, the Hong Kong Arts Centre architectural feature and stories, contemporary art exhibition and art education.

Throughout the years, our docents have served over 30,000 overseas and local audiences. Audience reach keeps broadening with more exploration on the Hong Kong Arts Centre and local art scene in various directions.

Hong Kong Arts Centre welcomes all visitors and strives to make its activities and facilities accessible to all patrons. Below the descriptions of the accessible services that we provide:

无障碍通道：分域街侧门备有自动门及方便轮椅使用者的斜道。
Accessible Entrance: The main lobby’s accessible entrance with ramps is from the automatic door on Fenwick Street.
升降机：大堂地面设有设触觉引路带通往两部升降机，以前往麦高利小剧场 (LB)、古天乐电影院 (UB)、寿臣剧院堂座 (1/F)及高座 (3/F)、售票处 (2/F)、包氏画廊 (4, 5/F)以及餐厅 (4, 6/F)。
Lift Access: Two passenger lifts with tactile-braille indicators are located in the main lobby, that service the building, provide access to McAulay Studio (LB), Louis Koo Cinema (UB), Shouson Theatre Stalls (1/F) and Circle (3/F), box office (2/F), Pao Galleries (4, 5/F) and restaurants (4, 6/F)
带位服务：如访客及使用轮椅人士需要带位服务，请预先联络场地管理部。任何辅助移动器材及轮椅如不能安置于场地座位，中心工作人员会将其暂时安置于离座位最近的位置。节目中场休息时间，工作人员会协助使用轮椅人士前往洗手间；而在节目完结时，亦会协助使用轮椅人士前往升降机及大堂。
Lobby to Seat: Please contact Venue Operation Department in advance if we can assist you in getting from the lobby to your seats or wheelchair-seat locations. Mobility aids that cannot be stored safely within the patron’s seating area, or wheelchairs for those patrons who transfer to a theatre seat, will be stored as close as possible to the patron’s seat. At intermission, ushers could provide assistance for patrons to get to restroom entrances. At the conclusion of the performance, ushers are available to assist patrons to the lift lobby or the main lobby of the building.
无障碍座位：寿臣剧院及古天乐电影院均备有轮椅座位，并特设相关门票，于城市售票网有售。
Accessible Seating: Shouson Theatre and Louis Koo Cinema have wheelchair-accessible locations where patrons can remain in their wheelchairs. Patrons should purchase wheelchair-seat locations when ordering tickets. You may purchase tickets for wheelchair and minder-seat locations at URBTIX online, by phone, or at URBTIX outlets.
无障碍洗手间：无障碍洗手间位于LB、UB及2至5楼。
Accessible Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are located on Lower Basement, Upper Basement, 2/F, 3/F, 4/F, 5/F.

Box office and Art Shop: Counter with height suitable for wheelchair users are available.
